This policy explains how mysonik.com uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can choose what we use.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files saved on your device when you visit a website. They help a site remember things, such as what is in your cart, and show us how the site is used. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in a similar way. This policy covers both.
2. Types of cookies we use
| Category | What it does | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Keeps your cart and checkout working, keeps you signed in if you have an account, stores your cookie choice, and protects the site from abuse | No [LAWYER TO CONFIRM] |
| Analytics | Tells us which pages are visited and how the site is used. Used to improve the site | Yes, where required [LAWYER TO CONFIRM] |
| Marketing | Shows pop-ups or offers, and measures marketing campaigns | Yes [TBC: list every marketing tool that sets cookies] |
Tools that may set cookies, to be confirmed before publishing:
- Analytics: [TBC: Google Analytics through Google Site Kit and/or MonsterInsights. Confirm which are active.]
- Marketing and pop-ups: [TBC: OptinMonster or other tool. Confirm which are active.]
- Forms and email: [TBC: WPForms, SureForms, SureMails. Confirm which set cookies.]
- Payments and checkout: [TBC: payment gateway, Tabby, Tamara and the store platform. Each may set its own necessary cookies.]
3. Cookie list
[TBC: Do not publish this table with guessed names. Run a cookie scan of the final live build, then fill in each cookie's name, provider, purpose and lifetime.]
| Name | Provider | Category | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| [TBC] | [TBC] | [TBC] | [TBC] | [TBC] |
4. How we ask for your consent
When you first visit, a cookie banner appears. It will offer:
- Accept all
- Reject non-essential
- Manage choices, where you can choose each category
Analytics and marketing cookies are off until you choose to turn them on. [TBC: consent tool name and setup.] [LAWYER TO CONFIRM: whether Reject and Accept must be equally prominent.]
We save your choice so we do not ask again on every page. You can change it at any time (see section 5).
5. How to change your choice
- Use the Cookie settings link in the footer [TBC: confirm the link is live].
- Or change your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may stop the cart and checkout from working.
Changing your choice applies from that point on. It does not undo data already collected.
6. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by the companies we use, such as analytics, payment and buy-now-pay-later providers. Their own cookie and privacy policies apply to them. [TBC: link to each provider's policy.]
7. Updates
We may update this policy when we add or remove tools. The date at the top shows the latest version.
8. Contact us
Questions about cookies: [TBC: privacy email].
